Admission Procedure

Admission to all courses will start in Under Graduate Semester I under new CBCS system. Admission is strictly merit-based, that is, performance in last qualifying examination (H.S or Equivalent).
As per the Govt. Order No. 908-Edn (CS)/ 10M-95/14 dt. 11-11-2014 of Higher Education Department, Govt. Of West Bengal, from the Academic Year 2015-2016, Admission to the Undergraduate (Honours and General) in State-aided higher education institutions in West Bengal shall be through an online merit-based admission system.
    The On-Line Admission Procedure:
A candidate has to visit our college website, www.sukantamahavidyalaya.ac.in
Then the candidate can see the highlighted ONLINE ADMISSION by clicking it leads to the online admission portal through which he/she can apply for their desired course.

An applicant has to visit directly to our college admission portal https://www.smvadmission.in/
The important dates of applicants’ registration, publication of merit lists and date of admission will be uploaded time to time in the college website. Henceforth, a regular check up to our college website is advised to the applicants.
The applicants are advised to follow and read the Instructions of Form Fill-up and Subject Basket and Rules before online application. All the necessary information is provided in the above-mentioned documents.
After the publication of merit list, different phases of e-counselling of eligible candidates for both Honours and Program courses will be announced in due course. Accordingly, the eligible candidates have to submit their Admission fees only through ONLINE PAYMENT using Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking and UPI.
For any questions and problems regarding form fill-up, uploading of documents, payments etc., it is requested to all the participants that they must get in touch with college authority through e-mail: [email protected] or through phone: +91-8436238571.
    Documents to be verified:
The following original documents of the applicants are needed to be verified:

1. Applicant’s Online Registration Form/Application Form.
2. Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination as proof of age.
3. Mark-sheet of the Higher Secondary (H.S.) or equivalent examination.
4. School Leaving Certificate.
5. C. / S.T. / O.B.C. Certificate (for S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C. Candidates) from District Magistrate or Sub-Divisional Officer. No certificate from other authorities will be accepted for this purpose.
6. Migration Certificates in original for students other than W.B.C.H.S.E. board
7. PH certificate (if applicable).
8. Payment Receipt of Admission fees.

The following Self-Attested Photocopies (Self-Attested Xerox Copies) are to be submitted by the applicants at the college:

1. One Self-attested Copy of Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination as proof of age.
2. One Self-attested Copy of Mark-sheet of the Higher Secondary (H.S.) or equivalent examination.
3. School Leaving Certificate in Original.
4. One Self-attested Copy of S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C. Certificate (for S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C. Candidates) from District Magistrate or Sub-Divisional Officer. No certificate from other authorities will be accepted for this purpose.
5. One Self-attested Copy of PH Certificate, wherever required.
6. Two recent passport size photographs. (Self-attested)
7. Migration Certificates in original for students other than W.B.C.H.S.E. board

**   ALL THE PHOTOCOPIES OF THE APPLICANT SHOULD BE SELF-ATTESTED BY THE APPLICANT HIMSELF/ HERSELF.
** For Library Card please bring Two recent passport size Photographs.
 
Mode of Payment of Admission Fee:
Applicants have to pay their Admission Fee only through ON-LINE MODE through our latest online Payment Partner Bill Desk to State Bank of India, Dhupguri Branch. Applicants can use Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking System for payment. No off-line mode of payment is entertained this year.
The amount of admission fee is varied in different courses. The applicants have to go through the fees chart of the college for the session 2022-2023.
