About
Welcome to National Service Scheme, Sukanta Mahavidyalaya About The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports of the Government of India. The aim of this Scheme is to provide opportunities for students to participate in a variety of government-led community service activities and programmes. The objective of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service.
As part of its commitment to social empowerment and education, NSS Units of Sukanta Mahavidyalaya often undertake projects pertaining to rural development, health and sanitization, and the environment. We have three NSS units in our college. Our units work with college students and the communities outside the campus. The area of activities includes cleaning campaigns, health screenings, blood donation camps, and various social awareness programmes. To enhancing both physical and mental wellbeing, NSS also organised self-defense training, as well as yoga and meditation.
N.S.S. is open to all students. The willing students are advised to contact the concerned Officer-in-charge.
The motto of National Service Scheme is “NOT ME BUT YOU”
